EDUCATION:
Sandy Zielinski is a ReCODE 2.0 Certified Health Coach. She earned her Functional Medicine Health Coaching Certificate at Functional Medicine Coaching Academy and is a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach. She is certified to administer the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA). Sandy works independently with participants in conjunction with their ReCODE 2.0 trained provider or primary care physician to support them on the Bredesen Protocol through the ReCODE and PreCODE programs.
PERSONAL HISTORY:
Sandy became interested in brain health and functional medicine when her mother at the age of 85 started showing signs of cognitive decline. She started studying and learning about the contributing factors that lead to cognitive decline and took personal steps to optimize her own health. Even though she was eating well, exercising regularly and modifying other lifestyle factors such as sleep and removing toxin exposure, she still needed the guidance and expertise of a Functional Medicine Practitioner to run the proper tests and prescribe the correct protocol. Together, they were able to correct some gut health issues and nutritional deficiencies. These steps lifted the brain fog and helped Sandy know what it means to have optimal health.
Sandy and her family did all that they could for her mother who recently passed away at the age of 91. Near the end her mother no longer recognized her, but knew she was a special person who was always there to comfort her.
Sandy’s character strengths of Curiosity and Love of Learning took her down the path to become a Functional Medicine Health Coach. She has committed her life to helping others prevent and reverse cognitive decline.
COACHING PRACTICE:
Sandy will be your guide on the side as you make the necessary upgrades to address the root cause of illness, in collaboration with your physician. She will walk along with you as you implement the Bredesen Protocol and help answer questions that you have along the way. She can provide education on how to monitor glucose and ketones, improve sleep hygiene, meal planning and prep, eliminating toxins in your cleaning products and personal care products and how to implement movement and mindfulness into your daily routine. She can help you identify new habits to replace old ones and help you set the goals to achieve the outcomes that you envision for yourself.
